Introduction to Virtual Tour

A panorama picture is simply a very wide angle photo, while a 360-degree panorama picture shows the entire "circle of view". You need to put that panorama picture into a specialised viewer to be able to realistically pan around the scene as if you were really there. You need to be able to look from side to side and up and down. It's like standing in a "bubble" of photos. Link those "bubbles" together and you create a virtual tour.

360 Panoramic Photography emerged to fill the need for a different kind of photography for websites. Conventional images had served websites well up till then, but a new, more dynamic service was required to prevent web pages displaying a “sameness” about them. Having a Virtual Tour allows your audience to be immersed in a seamless 360 degree visual environment that offers far more contextual information than a series of static images or a linear video clip for the same amount of downloadable bandwidth. Your audience will be wowed and impressed.
